Gene - Thank you for creating "Star Trek" - a brilliant idea which, still lives today, and I hope that a future of interracial tolerance & cooperation finally becomes reality.
Majel - it was a pleasure meeting you and thank you for showing me your beautiful & unique wedding ring. I enjoyed your "Number 1" and "Nurse Chapel" roles from Classic Trek, and absolutely loved your "Lawaxana Troi" character from ST:TNG.
God Bless both of you.
Until we meet again... To the Stars!

I tell people that I'm a Star Trek fan and they laugh, then I say, Star Trek was more United Nations, then the United Nations is. African-American female officer, Russian officer, Japanese officer, Scottish officer, alien officer, and this was in the 1960's. There was no prejudice. Star Trek made you feel anything was possible, and it gave me a love and awe of the night sky. For all this and more, Majel and Gene I thank you. - Debbie Horn, Frankfort, Kentucky, United States

I sent Majel a poem I wrote in a college poetry class in 1998 or so. It was a tribute to Gene, and she was nice enough to reply to my email and say that "Gene would have been proud." So, as I spoke in my poem so long ago: to the future fans will carry the name that brought them Star Trek; the great Gene Roddenberry. - Sarah Abrell Tilton, Eaton, OH, USA
